Born in France of Italian origin on his father’s side, he lived most of his life in Paris. He is currently a Peruvian resident for five years. All his life has been passionate about sports, standing out in disciplines such as swimming, cycling, boxing, and tennis. In 2008 and 2009, he became a National Powerlifting Champion for two consecutive years, accredited by the French Federation of Weightlifting and Bodybuilding. In 2019 he participated in a National Sports Competition of Bodybuilding and Fitness in Peru, obtaining 3rd place in the Muscular Men’s Physique category.
From 15 years old, he traveled through different countries in Africa, Europe, and America, where he had the opportunity to share unique experiences within local communities, which influenced his passion for languages. Since in addition to French, he speaks Spanish and English at a native level, and currently feels a great interest in the Quechua language, to understand his closest local native friends from Cusco.
A fact that defined his true vocation was to work in the city of Cusco as a translator and interpreter for the Amauta Ayacuchano Máximo Laura Textile Art Museum, designated as one of the “Living Human Treasures” of Peru (UNESCO Award). During this period, he discovered and learned about the Andean culture, especially the worldview related to the mythical and mysterious words of the teacher Laura. Likewise, he connected with visitors from around the planet by learning about their cultural needs under the functions he performed within the museum.
Thanks to the knowledge acquired and the deep love for the Peruvian Andes, he decided to explore trekking routes on his own, amazed by the natural beauty, the kindness of its people, and the mysteries surrounding this beautiful country called Peru.
Currently, Ugo has a beautiful family and hopes to complete his studies at the Alma Mater of Higher Education for Mountain Guides, Centro de Estudios de Alta Montaña (CEAM) – Huaraz.
